The Executive Committee will ensure that the resources available to the Expert Body will be used in the most beneficial, effective and efficient manner, in fulfilment of the Body's remit.

Quality Assurance

The Quality Assurance Sub-committee's focus is to review legislation, regulations, procedures and practice. Develop and review guidelines, codes of practice and audit processes. Review audit reports and sampling data and analyses. Preparing reports for consideration by the full Expert Body and to drive improvements in the system.

New and Emerging Issues

The focus of the New and Emerging Issues Sub-committee is to provide a clear picture of research that is currently underway. Reporting processes will be established to ensure that the members of the Expert Body have access to that research. In 2006 and onwards the Expert Body is likely to influence the objectives, scope and deliverables from publicly funded research. It will prioritise and deal with research matters emanating from a number of sources including the Quality Assurance and Communications/Public Health/Health promotion sub-committees and also from the many international bodies which have looked at fluoride research priorities recently.
